The future is now

I was having a nice little jog today (ps, I now do activities that involve sweating and wearing shorts, who knew...) and listening to MIA. I realized this...

The most innovative MC right now is a Sri Lankan woman, and America seems to be on the verge of electing a black President.

Fuck the Jetsons, the future is now.

I vehemently disagree with you on the comment you made on M.I.A.. There is no question that she is a solid emcee and an good lyricist, but to say she's the most innovative emcee right now is discrediting the numerous hip hop artists out there.

You should check out artists on this label at your leisure:

I stand by my opinion. Although touche on the stones throw stuff, I really like them. I especially like James Pants...he's not a rapper, but y'know, he's good and stuff.

Yeah I just got his current album...it's a whole lotta fun. BUT with regards to hip hop--M.I.A.? If by influential you mean popular yet still "street-credible" then yes, I guess you are right. But I don't necessarily consider something popularized as something influential.
